Gramps & Gramma...

A few days ago my dad [Brylie's Gramps] had surgery. Everything went fine...until he got home that same day. He blacked out, colapsed to the floor, wasn't breathing very good and would not respond to my mom. My mom called the ambulance and he was rushed to the hospital. While this was happening I was driving, on my way to see him. I was almost to the house when I saw my mom driving away. I honked at her thinking she might stop, but she kept on going. I called her cell. She said that the ambulance just came and got Dad and that she was on her way to the hospital. I followed her and we rushed inside. When I saw my Dad he was so pale and gray, I almost didn't recognize him. It was scary. My mom said he looked better than he did at the house though. He was now responding, but in a lot of pain and very weak. Turns out that his blood pressure dropped so low to the point he could hardly function. He was also in alot of pain in his chest, under his diaphram, causing it to be difficult to breathe. They asked him what his level of pain was from 1-10, he said "10"! My dad is a tough guy, so when he said 10 I knew he was in alot of pain.

We stayed at the hospital for a little while, but Brylie was crazy busy, wanting to escape and play, and flirt with all the male nurses! So we took off. I wanted to stay, so my wonderful mother-in-law offered to tend Brylie so that I could stay at the hospital with my mom and dad. My dad slowly began to regain strength. His color came back, and his blood pressure went up to a normal rate. My dad's sense of humor came back too. When one of the nurses came in he said, "when am I gonna have this baby?" He was able to go home again that night. We were relieved. I am thankful he is okay. ~I love you dad!~

The next day was my mom's birthday! She had to work, but someone needed to "daddy"sit. So me & BryBry spent the day there looking after Gramps. They watched a movie and took a long nap together. Which was nice because that gave me time to make dinner for mom's birthday party that night.

Later we had dinner and celebrated! Happy Birthday MOM! I love you!

I couldn't have picked a better pair of parents! I love them both so much. They are always, always there for me. I am forever thankful for them both, and don't know what I would do without them.
